Labcorp is seeking a Clinical Lab Scientist to join our team in South San Francisco CA. This is a casual/per diem position; hours will be "as needed" the start and end times will vary. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a Chemical or Biological Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology
  • California state issued Clinical Lab Science license (CLS) - Generalist
  • Ability to work in a collaborative, flexible environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong computer skills and attention to detail
  • Able to pass a standardized colorblindness test

  • Current or prior Labcorp experience

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to departmental Standard Operating Procedures
  • Perform appropriate QA/QC procedures
  • Operate and maintain equipment and instruments according to manufacturer and Monogram established procedures including: analysis of clinical specimens, calibration, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting
  • May be appointed to oversee specialized processes or appointed to a unique coordinating role, such as safety or QC
  • Actively participate in continuing education and in service training programs for licensure
  • Reagent and viral stock preparation and qualification
  • May assist in development of new assays and technology transfer from research and development
  • Review and release results in the Laboratory Information System
