About The Position

The Clinical Lab Scientist position supports Southwest Healthcare Inland Valley Hospital in Wildomar, California, and Southwest Healthcare Rancho Springs Hospital in Murrieta, California. The employee may be required to float between the two facilities based on operational needs, with appropriate orientation and competency validation provided. Inland Valley Hospital is a licensed 122-bed facility accredited by the Joint Commission. It is Southwest Riverside County’s only designated Trauma Center and a county-designated Paramedic Base Station. It performs more than 4,000 surgeries annually and averages 4,000 Emergency Department visits per month. The hospital also features a Bariatric Weight-Loss Surgery Center of Excellence and the region’s only Total Joint Center. Rancho Springs Hospital is a 120-bed acute-care hospital. It has the region’s only Pediatric Emergency Services team for children 14 and under, provided by board-certified Rady Children’s emergency medicine physicians. It also offers the area’s only OB/Emergency Department program, with 24/7 on-site OB/GYN physician coverage for expectant mothers. Its Childbirth Center is the largest in the region and has private family-friendly suites; its Neonatal Intensive Care Unit is operated by Rady Children’s.

Requirements

Meet the State of California Department of Health Services, Laboratory Field Services education requirements for Clinical Laboratory Scientist licensure.
Hold a valid Clinical Laboratory Scientist certification from the State of California.

At least two years of experience as a clinical laboratory scientist.

Responsibilities

Work as a Clinical Lab Scientist across Inland Valley Hospital and Rancho Springs Hospital as operational needs require.
Complete orientation and competency validation when assigned to the other facility.
