About The Position

This Clinical Lab Scientist opportunity is per diem and a convenient flexible schedule. This individual will be responsible for the processing of laboratory specimens and reporting of results in all areas of the clinical laboratory. Maintains laboratory records. Follows laboratory policies and procedures; maintains quality control practices in the Laboratory. ER at North Valleys provides 24/7 emergency care and welcomes all ages from pediatrics to seniors. The facility features nine treatment rooms, including fast-track exam rooms designed to efficiently triage low severity patients. Also offered are advanced imaging services including CT and X-ray and lab draws. The FED delivery of care model is designed to produce shorter wait times for patients who do not require robust services offered at a full-service hospital. Similar to a hospital emergency department, the FED treats a variety of emergency medical needs including heart attack, stroke, trauma conditions, lacerations, acute pain and other life-threatening conditions. Requirements

Nevada State Licensure as a General Supervisor required
Able to perform blood draws required
BLS certification

Responsibilities

Ability to function independently in all areas of the clinical laboratory: blood bank, chemistry, hematology, microbiology and serology/immunology and phlebotomy.
Responsible for performing high-complexity testing
Demonstrates knowledge of expected lab values for the neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patient
Notifies patient caregiver and/or physician of critical lab values
