About The Position
This is a local contract position for a Clinical Lab Scientist in Orange, CA. The role is based in an Acute Care Hospital and requires 2 years of experience. The contract is for 13 weeks, with a shift of 40 hours during the night. First-timers are not accepted, and there is no on-call requirement.
Requirements
- 2 years of experience
- State license
- ASCP-BB certification
- Clin Immunohem Sci certification
Responsibilities
- Perform moderate- and high-complexity laboratory testing in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Analyze and verify test results with a high degree of accuracy.
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instrumentation.
- Perform quality control and quality assurance procedures.
- Troubleshoot equipment and resolve technical issues.
- Follow all CAP, CLIA, OSHA, and hospital regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with pathologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care.
- Maintain accurate laboratory documentation and records.
