About The Position
The Clinical Lab Scientist is responsible for the day-to-day oversight of laboratory operations and personnel who perform testing and report test results. As part of the clinical laboratory team, the scientist works closely with clinical departments, including physicians and nursing staff, to perform testing and provide consultation on laboratory testing issues. The role is an essential member of the continuum of care for patients.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in chemical, physical, or biological science, or medical technology.
- State of California Clinical Laboratory Scientist license.
Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day laboratory operations.
- Oversee personnel performing testing and reporting test results.
- Work with clinical departments, including physicians and nursing staff, on testing.
- Provide consultation on laboratory testing issues.
