About The Position
Texas Health Arlington Memorial Hospital has a rich history in North Texas serving the local communities of Arlington, Kennedale, Pantego, Mansfield and Grand Prairie. Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required. (Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency is required. CLIAFE)
Nice To Haves
- Six (6) months experience as a phlebotomist or completion of a one semester course in phlebotomy is highly preferred.
- PBT(ASCP) - Phlebotomy Technician is preferred upon hire.
Responsibilities
- For those entities performing phlebotomy, employees follow laboratory procedure for specimen collection, patient identification and labeling as appropriate for the age of the patient
- Performs procedures in other areas of the Laboratory as required by hospital entity
- Reports and evaluates test results
- Helps other hospital and laboratory coworkers to provide timely patient care
