About The Position
Kettering Health Dayton is seeking a Clinical Lab Assistant to join their team. This role involves performing pre-analytic processing of specimens, collecting specimens, and accessioning, labeling, and distributing specimens, including blood samples via venipuncture and capillary puncture. The assistant will also instruct patients on urine sample collection and tolerance tests. The position is located in Dayton and is a full-time role on the second shift.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old and/or high school graduation or the equivalent.
Nice To Haves
- 1 year experience preferred and/or graduation from phlebotomy program
Responsibilities
- Performs pre-analytic processing of specimens; collects specimens; accessions, labels and distributes specimens including blood samples by venipuncture and capillary puncture in all patient areas
- Instructs patients in the collection of urine samples and tolerance test in all patient areas.
