Clinical Lab Assistant -Full Time
About The Position
The Clinical Lab Assistant performs phlebotomy duties only; specimen processing is not part of this position. The role is based at Texas Health Fort Worth, 1301 Pennsylvania Ave., Fort Worth, TX 76104, and is scheduled from 4:00 AM to 12:30 PM, Sunday through Thursday, with rotating holidays. Texas Health Fort Worth is an 851-bed, Magnet-designated, full-service hospital serving the Fort Worth community since 1930. Its services include cardiovascular care, high-risk obstetrics, gynecology, neurosciences, sports medicine, and emergency medicine, along with several certified specialty programs. The hospital also supports a kidney transplant program and Graduate Medical Education.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency (CLIAFE).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to function in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong critical-thinking, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills.
Nice To Haves
- Six months of experience as a phlebotomist or completion of a one-semester phlebotomy course.
- PBT (ASCP) Phlebotomy Technician certification preferred upon hire.
Responsibilities
- Perform phlebotomy duties; the position does not include specimen processing.
