About The Position

Overlake Medical Center has an outstanding opportunity for a Clinical Lab Assistant! The Clinical Lab Assistant is responsible for specimen collection (venipuncture/fingerstick) and preparation, and other duties as assigned that are consistent with skills and training to include but are not limited to: Phlebotomy Specimen Processing Point of Care Testing Part-Time/Evenings 0.875 1230-2330

Requirements

• Clinical Lab Assistant License through Washington State Department of Health - Medical Assistant Phlebotomist Certification (PC)
• Technical training /certification in phlebotomy
• High School diploma or GED

Nice To Haves

• Six months hospital experience preferred
• Experience with phlebotomy on neonatal, pediatric, geriatric, adult, trauma and critical patients also preferred
• At least two (2) years of phlebotomy experience preferred
• Customer Service experience preferred
• American Society of Clinical Pathologist (ASCP) registration a plus
• Two years hospital experience required
• Experience with phlebotomy on neonatal, pediatric, geriatric, adult, trauma and critical patients required
• Customer Service experience preferred
