About The Position

The Clinical Intern, working under the direction of the outreach leadership team, will work with Emergency Services clients on aspects of the Housing Search and Housing Stabilization Caseload, and will work on other projects as assigned, including research regarding landlord and other rental resources. The Clinical Intern will receive supervision from the clinical supervisor, and will bring issues of clinical import or client interaction to the Clinical Supervisor’s attention.

Requirements

  • Current enrollment working toward Clinical Master’s Degree
  • Bachelor’s in a social science field
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, good internet and email etiquette
  • Good computer skills, particularly in internet research and MS Office, including Excel
  • High degree of cultural sensitivity and ability to work effectively with diverse people and situations
  • Knowledge of and strong commitment to harm reduction philosophy, principles and practices
  • Ability to respond quickly to crisis
  • Ability to access public transportation
  • Ability to access different building locations and program sites
  • Ability to sit for long periods of time and use computer, calculator, fax, copier and other office equipment
  • Ability to walk up to two (2) miles at time on city streets
