About The Position

Wayside Metro West Community Services offers clinical internship opportunities for second- or final-year master’s-level students for Spring and Fall 2027. Interns join a site team serving people with serious emotional disturbances through community-based services, including Intensive Care Coordination, Mobile Crisis Intervention, In-Home Therapy, Family Support and Stabilization, Therapeutic Mentoring, Youth Support, and outpatient therapy. The program uses Wraparound, Motivational Interviewing, and strength-based models to provide intensive, family-centered, solution-focused care in offices, homes, and community settings. Interns work collaboratively with staff and independently with multi-stressed families across multiple settings. Interns perform intakes, assessments, treatment plans or individual care plans, follow-up care, and ongoing treatment. They coordinate services and resources for families and individuals and collaborate with other systems and providers. Weekly participation in staff meetings and intern seminars is required. Interns must be available at least 20 hours per week and able to work two evenings each week. A valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle are required for community driving and home visits. A CORI check and completion of Wayside’s pre-service orientation are required. The internship is based at 88 Lincoln Street, Framingham, MA 01702. A $5,000 annual stipend is offered to final-year MA students, with an additional $1,000 language differential.
