About The Position

Partner with the Outpatient Counselors to provide high quality and compassionate care to clients. Under the supervision of the assigned Outpatient Counselor(s), perform a variety of duties to provide clinical and administrative support to the clinical department.

Requirements

  • Experience in working with Microsoft Office products, including email.
  • Experience with using and navigating Electronic Health Records and other industry related types of applications.
  • CPR/First Aid Certification
  • Highschool Diploma or Equivalent
  • Participating in an Accredited Behavioral Health Bachelor’s Degree Program
  • Chemical Dependency Counselor Assistant (CDCA)
  • MFTT, CT, or SWT required at a minimum for Master's-Level Program

  • Knowledge of area resources that may aid clients in on-going recovery.
  • Knowledge of safety rules and procedures.
  • Knowledge of the organization’s policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of de-escalation techniques for individuals who may be frustrated or exalted.
  • Working knowledge of different pathways to recovery and social systems.
  • Ability to communicate information clearly and effectively.
  • Ability to recognize unusual or threatening conditions related to persons with disabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitating or co-facilitating individual or group counseling sessions, client assessments, treatment planning, and documentation.
  • Providing case management services, including coordinating care with external service providers.
  • Ensuring all documentation regarding patient care, treatment planning, and incidents are completed timely and accurately.
  • Consulting with other professionals when indicated.
  • Providing crisis interventions and de-escalation techniques.
  • Adhering to all organizational and departmental policies and procedures, including compliance with all behavioral, ethical, and client boundary expectations.
  • Maintaining client records according to the organization’s policies and procedures.
  • Maintaining organization, Ohio MHAS, and CARF required training.
  • Maintaining license or registration appropriate to profession and appropriate to job requirement, including appropriate amount of continuing education at all times of employment.
  • Maintaining strict confidentiality at all times.
  • Other duties as assigned.
