Clinical Internship
About The Position
Sandstone Care is seeking passionate and dedicated individuals currently enrolled in a master’s program in counseling or social work to join their team as a Clinical Intern. This is an unpaid internship/practicum opportunity where interns will gain hands-on experience in a dynamic, supportive environment. The program specializes in helping adolescents and young adults overcome substance use, mental health, and mood disorders, treating the whole person and supporting families. Interns will play a crucial role in supporting clients' recovery journeys, contributing to treatment goals, and facilitating individual, group, and family therapy sessions. The role offers one hour of individual supervision per week and participation in weekly Clinical Team Meetings. Training in various therapeutic modalities will be provided under the supervision of a Sandstone Care clinician.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a master’s in counseling or social work program seeking a clinical internship.
- Availability to commit 15-20 hours per week, including at least one evening per week.
- A desire to contribute to a supportive, client-centered treatment environment.
- Professionalism and self-awareness
- Strong communication skills
- Dedication to ethical practice and supervision
- Passion for therapeutic work
