The Intern supports departmental operations and strategic initiatives within an assigned department while gaining hands-on, practical experience in their field of study. Interns work under the supervision of a department leader or licensed professional and contribute to projects, research, and daily operations in a clinical setting. The Clinical Intern Provides quality patient care and service within scope according to established standards. May assist patients with activities of daily living. Transports patients, supplies, specimens, equipment, etc. within the facility. Work under the supervision of a department leader, manager, or licensed professional to complete assigned duties and projects. Assists with operational, administrative, clinical, or professional tasks aligned with the intern’s academic program and the department needs. Observe, document, and communicate work progress, findings, or issues to the supervising leader or team. Interact and communicate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization using appropriate communication methods. Participates in staff meetings, project meetings, and interdisciplinary discussions as requested. Proactively seek out learning opportunities, manage time effectively, and appropriately prioritize assignments. Manages data, conduct research, and prepare reports, summaries, or presentations related to assigned projects. Follow all organizational policies, procedures, ethical standards, and confidentiality requirements.
