Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Previous experience working with insurance companies and healthcare professionals (physicians, nurses, etc.)
  • Previous experience with specialty pharmacy patient admissions and customer service in a similar referral source-based practice setting
  • IVIg case management experienced
  • Strong PC skills, especially the MS Office suite
  • Previous experience with the pharmacy order processing system, CPR+

  • Bachelor's degree preferred

Responsibilities

  • Manage phone calls from agency partners for scheduling, rescheduling, other related agency activities
  • Coordinate nursing contracts and authorizations when needed
  • Collaborate with document management teams to obtain agency clinical documentation
  • Triage incoming agency calls for field nurses and relay information to appropriate care team members
  • Serve as communication liaison between pharmacy and nursing as appropriate
  • Identification and screening of nursing agencies
  • Completes occurrence reports as applicable
  • Provides care team members with feedback on assigned patients and gives suggestions for changes in procedure/protocols
  • Answer phone, emails, and working in a variety of communication apps and electronic medical recores to provide clear documentation and coordination of services
  • Communicate with patients to coordinate delivery and nursing services
  • Scheduling appointments for patient visits with nursing personnel and agencies as needed
  • Liaise and coordinate with nursing and pharmacy staff about schedules, patients, and any changes
  • Input clinician visits and update in visit logs for new starts and adjusted schedules
  • Resolve scheduling conflicts as they occur
  • Attend staff meetings, teleconferences and patient care conferences as needed
  • Understand and follow Promptcare’s employee policies and procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned and is able to work longer than normal hours with little or no notice, as needed
