About The Position

This is a full-time opening and is open to current UMC employees only. The position summary is to develop, implement, and evaluate programs or educational content for nursing and non-nursing hospital staff. Duties include designing educational programs, assessing staff proficiency in the subject area, developing curricula, and instructing.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited nursing school
  • Two (2) years of clinical nursing experience.
  • Valid license from the State of Nevada to Practice as a Registered Nurse
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Three (3) years of recent Med/Surg experience.
  • One to Two (1-2) years recent educator experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in Clinical Education in an acute care or large hospital setting
  • Some positions may require certification as a Basic Life Support Instructor or Instructor Certification in Specialty.
  • Some positions may require Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
