About The Position

The CNA Instructor will be responsible for the development, implementation, management, and teaching of a curriculum using a variety of teaching methods in the classroom and clinical setting. The goal is to qualify completing students to sit for state and national testing. The instructor will supervise students during clinical rotations at Griffin Hospital/Middlesex Hospital and in various long-term care facilities.

Requirements

  • Current Connecticut RN or LPN license in good standing
  • Minimum of five (5) years of clinical nursing experience
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience in a long-term care setting
  • Experience supervising nursing assistants, students, or healthcare personnel
  • Demonstrated ability to teach adult learners
  • Teaching experience in a healthcare education program
  • Curriculum development and instructional technology experience
  • Knowledge of CT CNA regulations and Prometric testing requirements
  • Experience in advising, recruitment, and retention
