A Clinical Infusion Pharmacist will report to the Sr. Director of Operations and perform a variety of tasks to ensure the correct medication is dispensed to the appropriate patient, at the appropriate dose, and in the appropriate timeframe. In this role, they will have access to Protected Health Information (PHI) and Electronic Protected Health Information (EPHI). A Clinical Infusion Pharmacist obtains complete and accurate disease state, drug, and laboratory information to ensure the medication dispensed is safe, effective, and appropriate for the defined medical condition. The Clinical Infusion Pharmacist will be expected to establish safe practices for infusion therapy handling, and they collaborate and communicate with multidisciplinary team members involved in providing services to patients. A Clinical Infusion Pharmacist manages and directs pharmacy staff in the production of patient-specific medication orders and prescriptions. A Clinical Infusion Pharmacist maintains current knowledge of the latest clinical treatment guidelines, as well as any laws and statutes applicable to pharmacy practice. A Clinical Infusion Pharmacist is responsible for reviewing medication orders and working with medical providers to ensure the most appropriate medical treatment is provided to the patient. In addition, a Clinical Infusion Pharmacist will also be responsible for: Working with other departments to maximize pharmacy performance Maintain and submit documents to ensure compliance Working with Leaders on various projects and goals as needed
