Eskenazi Health serves as the public hospital division of the Health & Hospital Corporation of Marion County. Physicians provide a comprehensive range of primary and specialty care services at the 333-bed hospital and outpatient facilities both on and off of the Eskenazi Health downtown campus including at a network of Eskenazi Health Center sites located throughout Indianapolis. The Clinical Informatics Specialist I reports to the Clinical Informatics Specialist Supervisor. The Clinical Informatics Specialist I (CIS I) acts as a liaison between the hospital’s clinical areas, Quality, Analytics, and Information Services (IS). This includes participation in the determination of the needs and requirements for clinical applications within the health system, assisting with training and development needs, and large scale strategic initiatives involving HIT (health information technology). The CIS I also participates in the evaluation, selection and implementation of clinical systems. This position works with clinical staff and providers to optimize the usage of clinical systems through education and training, quality outcomes and by providing support in accordance with organizational goals.
