Clinical Health Psychologist
About The Position
SSM Health Rehabilitation Hospital, a joint venture with Select Medical, is seeking a Clinical Health Psychologist for its location in Lake St. Louis, MO. This full-time position offers a compensation of $100k+ based on experience. The Clinical Health Psychologist will provide care for inpatients, day hospital patients, and outpatients who have experienced conditions such as stroke, traumatic brain injury, neurosurgery, and other issues affecting cognition, mood, behavior, and independent functioning. The primary goals of this role are to assist patients and their families in understanding and adjusting to their injury or illness, and to support the rehabilitation teams in maximizing patient progress.
Requirements
- Doctoral degree (PhD, PsyD, EdD) in Clinical or Counseling Psychology from an APA-Accredited program required.
- APA-Approved Clinical Psychology internship, preferably in a medical / health science setting
- Formal postdoctoral training and experience in Health Psychology
- Experience working with an interdisciplinary team in a medical setting
- Missouri license as a Psychologist
Responsibilities
- Neurobehavioral assessment
- Consultation to families, medical rehabilitation teams, and physicians
- Psychological intervention (individual and group)
- Participation in education and support programs
