This is a casual position located on the campus of Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla. The position is partial remote and will require 8-12 hours per week. Requirements

PsyD or PhD in Clinical Psychology.
5 years’ experience conducting psychological assessments and evidence-based individual and group psychotherapy - at least 2 of these years’ experience must be in a medical setting.
Licensed clinical psychologist in the state of CA.

Nice To Haves

2 years’ experience providing psychological treatment to patients with chronic health conditions.
2 years’ experience collaborating with medical providers in treatment planning.
Training in evidence-based interventions (cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and/or motivational interviewing (MI)).

Responsibilities

Collaborate with endocrinologists, diabetes educators, and other members of the clinical care team to triage and deliver psychological and behavioral interventions to patients with chronic health conditions.
Triages electronic health record referrals and warm hand-offs, conducts comprehensive intake assessments, and delivers a wide range of psychological interventions commensurate to patient need.
Conducts evidence-based individual- and group-based psychotherapy to improve outcomes for individuals who are struggling with psychological and/or behavioral aspects of chronic disease.
Provides professional case consultation and training to the interdisciplinary care team members on behavioral health conditions, assessment, and brief interventions.
