About The Position

As a Speech-Language Pathologist at Westside, you’ll help children build the communication skills they need to thrive. You’ll have opportunities to grow and specialize in areas such as Feeding Therapy and AAC evaluations, while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of Occupational Therapist, Physical Therapists, Clinical Counselors, and ABA professionals.

Requirements

• Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an ASHA-accredited program
• Pass the Praxis Examination in Speech-Language Pathology
• SLP licensure or license eligible, in the state of Illinois

• Practicum experience in a pediatric outpatient or school-based setting, strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work under the supervision and support of a seasoned Speech Therapist
• Prepare and implement treatment plans for pediatric clients, from birth to age 18
• Create client specific goals focused on effective communication, utilizing verbal and non-verbal communication skills
• Provide support and guidance to the clients’ family enabling them to foster the behaviors and practices implemented in treatment
