About The Position

This 12-week Clinical Extern program at Centene offers participants the opportunity to learn about the Managed Care industry and how Centene transforms community health. Externs will observe preceptors and engage in various projects to develop clinical knowledge and skills related to managed care processes and functions. The program focuses on gaining hands-on experience by shadowing preceptors and becoming familiar with diverse clinical services, all while adhering to company guidelines and instructions provided by preceptors or managers. This externship is designed for individuals currently enrolled in an accredited clinical program who are receiving course credit for their participation.

Requirements

• Current enrollment in an accredited clinical program
• Candidates must be receiving course credit for participating in the Externship program

Responsibilities

• Observe preceptors and participate in various projects to learn and develop skills related to the Managed Care industry
• Develop clinical knowledge and skills by learning about various processes and functions within the Managed Care industry
• Observe processes and shadow preceptors to gain hands on experience and become familiar with various clinical services
• Follow instructions and procedures provided by preceptor or manager in accordance with company guidelines
