As a Clinical Engineering (CE) Imaging Technician III, you will independently diagnose, repair, calibrate and perform preventive maintenance on Imaging equipment in one or more of the modalities of interventional radiology (IR)/Cath and EP Labs, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and linear accelerators (LINAC) while supporting assigned systems with minimal vendor support. A caregiver in this position works Monday-Friday, 8:00am—5:00pm, with a primary focus in Northeast Ohio.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering Technology.
  • Successful completion of a Radiological Services Training program from an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) or third-party training company.
  • Four years of experience working with Linear Accelerators, CT scanners, MRI machines, Nuclear Medical imaging equipment, or other similar complex medical systems.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze system failures of medical imaging systems and perform repairs in accordance with manufacturer protocol within time standards set by service level agreements.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on complex medical systems and develop preventive maintenance procedures based on site specific requirements incorporating usage and other performance metrics.
  • Perform incoming inspections of new equipment and complete documentation for CMMS database.
  • Act as an enterprise resource providing technical expertise on the assigned imaging equipment.
  • Provide on-the-job cross training to fellow technicians for devices they are trained on.
  • Communicate medical device readiness and serviceability status of assigned equipment to clinical and non-clinical caregivers - including progress updates / reports for senior leaders.
