About The Position

The Clinical Engineer develops and manages scoring criteria for medical-equipment forecasting and planning within an assigned portfolio, considering supportability, age, utilization, cybersecurity, efficacy, and reliability. These criteria are primary inputs to the five-year capital replacement plan owned by the Manager, Capital & Equipment Planning and to the capital investment decisions it supports. The role continuously reviews and validates projects and plans, identifying opportunities for cost reduction, improved safety and cybersecurity, and operational optimization. It leads clinical-equipment onboarding projects to ensure new assets are deployed efficiently and that safety and support needs are addressed. The Clinical Engineer serves as the designated enterprise lead for an assigned clinical-engineering program area. Examples include CMMS administration, recall management, or medical-device cybersecurity. The role collaborates with CE Operations, the Business Office, Supply Chain, IT, and IT project managers to align strategies and coordinate operational resources toward project goals and deadlines. It represents the CE Strategy team in local, regional, and enterprise strategy sessions; leads inventory, forecast, and scoring reviews with organizational stakeholders; and builds expertise in the assigned medical-equipment portfolio through research, education, and networking with technology professionals. This full-time position is available at Edward, Elmhurst, Evanston, Glenbrook, Highland Park, Northwest Community, Skokie, and Swedish Hospital. It has regular operating hours during the day. Applications are limited to current Sodexo and Trimedx employees and must be submitted by the end of day on Wednesday, November 11th. The hourly pay range is $39.44–$61.13, with the rate determined in part by expertise and years of experience.
