Under general direction, performs a variety of skilled repair and maintenance activities on sophisticated anesthesia, patient monitoring, and other patient-related equipment in critical care and surgery. This role involves in-depth troubleshooting and diagnostics on complex technology, assisting in clinical evaluations, and contributing to capital acquisition plans for operating rooms. The position also supports the development of educational lectures and equipment test protocols, monitors hazard alerts (ECRI, FDA), manages service contract support for critical care technology, and participates in an on-call rotation including nights, weekends, and holidays.
