About The Position

The Clinical Educator is responsible for the development of the plan of education for the Transitional Care Unit (TCU) and the Acute Rehabilitation Unit (ARU). The Clinical Educator works with the Clinical Director to orient, educate, and train the TCU and ARU Staff in accordance with standards, regulations, and best practice, using a variety of teaching methods. Assists new and current staff in developing role clarity, professional role confidence, and proficiency. Operates as a change agent in the practice and learning environment and assists with staff and unit development. This role meets the regulatory requirements of the Director of Staff Development/DSD. Requirements

  • Demonstrated leadership ability.
  • Proficient communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Proficient computer skills and knowledge required to understand, guide, and support educational system processes.
  • Clinical competence.
  • Ability to plan, organize, implement, and evaluate educational programs and processes.
  • Detail oriented and able to operate independently.
  • Ability to demonstrate teaching/learning strategies.
  • Principles of patient/family teaching.
