Within a client and family centred care model and the vision and values of the organization provides complete clinical education services including coaching/mentoring, staff development, planning, implementing and evaluating of clinical education programs using advanced theory and knowledge of content area and teaching and learning principles and processes. Consults, confers and collaborates with other clinical educators, Clinical Nurse Specialists, Practice Leaders, other health care provides as well as members of the long term care/seniors program in the resolution of educational issues, introduction of evidence-based protocols, promotion of continuous quality improvement and in coordinating activities required for each educational assignment. As a member of the long term care/seniors interdisciplinary team, participates in strategic planning and assists in achieving team goals. Measures performance and takes corrective action with respect to group and individual learning needs.Practices in accordance with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) standards (professional & practice) and code of ethics for registered nurses or registered psychiatric nurses. Practices within the scope of practice as set by the organization as per VCH policies and guidelines/clinical practice documents and within own competence. This practice is aligned with the vision, mission, goals and values of the organization as well as the concept of the client and family centred care model.
