About The Position

Rome Health is seeking a Clinical Documentation Improvement Specialist - RN, to support their Health Information Management Team. This role reports to the Director of Health Information Management. The specialist will leverage advanced clinical and coding expertise to ensure the integrity of clinical documentation through review, education, and consultation. The primary goal is to facilitate the overall quality, completeness, accuracy, quality of care, severity of illness, risk of mortality, and integrity of medical record documentation to support correct coding, reimbursement, and quality initiatives.

Requirements

  • Associate in Nursing required
  • Must be licensed in NYS
  • 5 years clinical experience in an acute care inpatient setting
  • Comfortable performing in an education role working closely with healthcare providers
  • Comfortable operating independently in a collaborate environment
  • Must be savvy navigating clinical documentation improvement software (CDE One)

Nice To Haves

  • BSN preferred
  • Prior experience with clinical documentation improvement strongly preferred
