About The Position

The position offers hybrid or fully remote schedule. Responsible for improving the overall quality and completeness of clinical documentation. Facilitates accurate clinical documentation through extensive interaction with physicians, nursing staff, other patient caregivers, and medical records coding staff to ensure that appropriate reimbursement is received, and all quality indicators are addressed. Ensures the accuracy and completeness of clinical information used for measuring and reporting physician and medical center outcomes. Educates all members of the patient care team on an ongoing basis. Responsible for promoting teamwork with all members of the healthcare team. Performs all duties in a manner consistent with St. Luke’s mission and values.

Requirements

  • 2 years CDI experience required.
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Missouri.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelors of Science in Nursing preferred.
  • Clinical Documentation Specialist Certification through ACDIS or AHIMA preferred.
