The Clinical Director is responsible for oversight and supervision of clinical staff assigned to them in accordance with Federal and state licensing entities and with accrediting bodies (Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities – CARF, DDAP, DCF, AHCA). This role involves managing direct reports, including their schedules, task assignments, and time sheets. The Clinical Director will also carry a partial caseload of patients when needed, providing individual, group, and family sessions, and ensuring timely documentation. They are responsible for the creation and implementation of daily program schedules, providing psychoeducational and therapeutic presentations, and co-facilitating groups. This position also involves troubleshooting grievances, assisting in the investigation of clinical incident reports, and utilizing Caron’s strategic plan for staff and program development. The Clinical Director oversees patient, family, and referral satisfaction, serves as a resource for supervisors and lead therapists, and acts as a point-person for public speaking events. They lead multi-disciplinary treatment teams, ensuring strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and play an active role in program development and enhancement. Additionally, this role serves as a liaison between various departments, co-facilitates case management, and assists with hiring, orientation, and training of clinical staff. The Clinical Director reviews treatment plans, ensures patients receive necessary care, and signs documentation as a qualified professional. They must also respond to after-hours issues and concerns in a timely manner.
