About The Position

Pyramid Healthcare is seeking an experienced and compassionate Clinical Director to lead the clinical operations of our residential substance use disorder treatment center in Concord, Massachusetts, which provides withdrawal management and detoxification services. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing all clinical services, ensuring compliance with state and accreditation standards, supporting clinical staff development, and collaborating with program and corporate leadership to continuously improve treatment quality and client outcomes. The Clinical Director oversees all clinical services within the residential treatment program and is responsible for maintaining adherence to clinical standards, regulatory requirements, and compliance expectations in collaboration with program and corporate leadership.

Requirements

  • LADC I or another independent master’s-level behavioral health license valid in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts (e.g., LICSW, LMHC, or equivalent).
  • Master’s degree in one of the following disciplines or a closely related field: Clinical Psychology, Counseling / Education-Counseling, Medicine, Mental Health, Psychology, Psychiatric Nursing, Rehabilitation Counseling, Social Work
  • Minimum of two (2) years of supervised substance use disorder counseling experience.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of full-time clinical supervisory experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in residential substance use disorder treatment, withdrawal management, detoxification, or co-occurring treatment settings strongly preferred.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and clinical decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide oversight of all clinical services, including: Assessments and admissions, Intake and evaluation processes, Group therapy, Individual therapy, Family therapy services, Aftercare and discharge planning, Crisis stabilization, Utilization review
  • Ensure clinical documentation and treatment services meet company, state, licensing, and accreditation standards.
  • Provide clinical supervision, coaching, and training for all clinical staff through: Structured onboarding, Regular supervision meetings, Treatment team facilitation, Ongoing professional development, Appropriate documentation and tracking of supervision activities
  • Collaborate with program and corporate leadership to develop and implement annual clinical strategic plans.
  • Participate in operational and clinical reviews related to documentation, EMR compliance, billing, quality improvement, and program effectiveness.
  • Monitor client engagement and outcome measures and implement initiatives to improve treatment effectiveness.
  • Identify and address barriers to clinical engagement and overall program success.
  • Oversee clinical development and curriculum enhancement in collaboration with Divisional Clinical Leadership and regional clinical philosophy.
  • Participate in marketing and community outreach meetings as needed.
  • Manage on-call clinical needs and provide crisis intervention and stabilization when necessary.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding all company and client information.
  • Complete all required company, licensing, and accreditation trainings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Supervise all clinical staff within the residential treatment program.
  • Ensure staff receive appropriate training, guidance, and support.
  • Promote accountability, clinical excellence, and adherence to regulatory standards.
