About The Position

The Adult Skills Center (TASC) provides innovative and proactive services that empower individuals with diverse intellectual, developmental, and mental health needs to achieve their highest level of Independence and realize their greatest potential. The Clinical Director oversees all clinical operations and clinical staff and reports to the Deputy Executive Director and the President & CEO. Primary responsibilities include the initiation, development, maintenance, evaluation, and modification of all clinical programs of the organization. The Clinical Director also manages and supervises the clinical functions, policies and procedures, relevant staff, and delegated activities of the organization.

Requirements

  • Master's preferred in Applied Behavior Analysis, special education, psychology, child development or related field and/or three years of experience in a human service delivery system, including at least one year in a comparable program; Bachelor’s degree with experience considered.
  • LMFT, BCBA, LCSW and other comparable licensure preferred.
  • Possess and maintain a valid, active license/certification as applicable.
  • Maintain valid First Aid/CPR certification.
  • Prior experience with individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities.
  • Experience in design and implementation of individualized service plans for clients.
  • Experience navigating the regional center system and has an understanding of the authorization process.
  • Must have current California Driver’s license/Insurance and clean DMV driving record.
  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to carry out job responsibilities with reasonable accommodations.
  • Completion of Professional Crisis Management Instructor Certification (provided by TASC) is required and must be maintained for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as a member of the organization's Management Team, taking particular responsibility for clinical treatment aspects of the organization’s functioning.
  • Monitors and evaluates the performance of individuals across departments, collaborates with department directors, and approves evaluations of employees under supervision.
  • Facilitates the professional growth of staff through supervision, establishing priorities and goals, monitoring/approving professional development funds, and giving performance appraisals.
  • Ensures appropriate supervision and clinical training for program staff.
  • Works cooperatively with the Management Team in program development, implementation, ongoing management, and quality assurance of organization clinical services.
  • Assists in interpreting the organization’s program to the community and ensures collaborative work with other community resources to coordinate clinical services.
  • Ensures that new and existing POS’s for clinical services are met.
  • Provides leadership to staff in program development and clinical services, striving to increase professional growth and effectiveness through training and staying abreast of current trends.
  • Responsible for agency-wide clinical program planning, development, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Organizes and conducts meetings, training programs, etc., as appropriate for program development and maintenance needs.
  • Represents the organization in the community, on boards, committees, etc., and before various county, state, and federal funding and regulatory agencies.
  • Participates in the hiring, training, and ongoing supervision of clinical program staff.
  • Provides supervision and mentorship to program staff, including delegating duties and responsibilities, meeting with other Directors, keeping written documentation, and conducting annual job performance evaluations.
  • Oversees and provides appropriate support and consultation to interdepartmental clinicians.
  • Ensures quality of clinical services being provided are in line with organizational standards.
  • Collaborates with all TASC departments and fosters team engagement.
  • Participates in program evolution and growth in areas of need.
  • Reviews and approves ISP reports as needed.
  • Assures that clients have a recognized voice in organization functioning via client surveys, interviews etc.
  • Conducts client intakes, assessments, and evaluates the appropriateness of each case, ensuring appropriate supports are in place.
  • Provides program services as needed.
  • Assists with client case management as needed.
  • Assures that treatment options for clients are culturally sensitive and appropriate.
  • Participates in assigned Circle of Support meetings when needed.
  • Ensures the timeliness, quality, and submission of reports to Regional Center and other agencies as needed.
  • Participates in the development and implementation of behavior support plans as needed.
  • Represents TASC within the community.
  • Participates on community boards and/or committees to enhance community knowledge of TASC and provide TASC with relationships with additional community resources.
  • Participates in TASC strategic plan implementation.
  • Participates in Director Committees and contributes ideas.
  • Serves as a positive role model for peers and staff.
  • Fosters a positive work environment through constructive feedback and problem solving.
  • Encourages learning, personal growth, and positive attitude.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Performs other off-site duties as assigned.
  • Participates in weekly meetings, trainings, etc., as assigned by the supervisor.
