CLNICAL DIRECTOR OF ACPTC Job Location: ARIZONA STATE HOSPITAL ADDRESS: 501 N. 24TH STREET PHOENIX, AZ 85008 Posting Details: SALARY: $110,235 GRADE: 25 CLOSING DATE: OPEN UNTIL FILLED Job Summary: The Clinical Director may serve as department head in the absence of the hospital Psychology Administrator or as the Acting Director of ACPTC in the absence of the Director of ACPTC. Directs all psychological services provided in the ACPTC; consults with administrators of other disciplines, develops and revises treatment and educational programs; determines and sets goals and requirements; participates in development of policies; serves on a variety of committees; writes reports, memorandums and correspondences. This position oversees and provides therapeutic interventions and assessment services to residents; may provide consultation services to hospital staff; supervises staff that may include psychologists, therapists, social workers, rehabilitation staff, interns and students; assigns work, schedules staff, approves leave and completes performance appraisals; recommends staff hires, disciplinary actions and dismissals; provides assistance and direction in the treatment planning process and consultation to colleagues in the implementation of treatment; supervises and provides educational training for multidisciplinary students; ensures staff maintain competencies. Reads and studies professional literature and informational material in order to increase and expand knowledge base as an administrator; such material deals with theoretical or conceptual bases of knowledge in the specified field of psychosexual treatment services as well as concentrating on techniques of leadership in the field of psychology. Ensures compliance with all licensing requirements related to psychology. Performs related work and other duties as required.
