About The Position

The Clinical Dietitian provides basic nutrition assessments and care planning for patients, implements and monitors Medical Nutrition Therapy interventions, and educates patients on therapeutic diets and home nutrition support regimens. The role supports Midland Memorial Hospital’s mission and core values and contributes to account revenue and operating profit through nutrition services. This is a full-time position with a schedule of 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m. A sign-on bonus may be available subject to the stated eligibility conditions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Nutrition or a related field.
• Credentialed as a Registered Dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Registration, or registration eligible with proof of completion of an internship.
• Licensed in the State of Texas or able to obtain licensure within one year of hire.
• No experience required.
• Able to stand, walk, sit, stoop, reach, lift, speak, and hear.
• Clinical staff lifting is limited to 35 pounds; use an assisted-lift device or obtain assistance for lifts above this limit.

• One to two years of hospital experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct nutrition assessments for patients at high, moderate, and low risk, including patients requiring artificial nutrition support.
• Implement and monitor Medical Nutrition Therapy interventions.
• Educate patients regarding therapeutic diets and home nutrition support regimens.
• Attend and participate in scheduled interdisciplinary meetings.
• Help ensure patient satisfaction levels are met.
• Follow all HIPAA policies.
• Implement business practices that uphold Midland Memorial Hospital’s mission and core values and contribute to account revenue and operating profit through nutrition services.

Benefits

• Sign-on bonus of up to $45,000 for candidates with a minimum of two years of experience.
• Sign-on bonus of up to $10,000 for candidates with no experience who are registered and licensed in Texas.
