About The Position

Clinical Dietitian opportunities are available across the UH system. Clinical Dietitians that accept a part-time or full-time position with University Hospitals are available for competitive hourly rates, enhanced PTO for candidates with 5+ years of relevant work experience, potential to receive a sign on bonus up to $5,000, free parking, and career ladder progression. The Clinical Dietitian will display effective nutrition care, apply critical thinking skills and provide effective communication and education skills in daily practice.

Requirements

Master's Degree in Food & Nutrition (Required) -or- Bachelor's Degree in Food & Nutrition if established eligibility for the registration examination for dietitians on or before December 31, 2023 (Required)
Completion of an ACEND accredited Supervised Practice Program. (Required proficiency)
Competent skills to provide Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) & apply the nutrition care process to patient care. (Required proficiency)
Competent skills to evaluate and recommend nutrition needs based on the specific combined objective/subjective information for a clinical nutrition assessment. (Required proficiency)
Analytical skills to assess patient’s condition & provide appropriate interventions. (Required proficiency)
Exhibits appropriate & effective communication/interpersonal skills to effectively work with patients, families, physicians and other health care professionals. (Required proficiency)
Licensed Dietitian (LD) in the State of Ohio (Required Upon Hire)
Registered Dietitian (RD) with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (Required Upon Hire)
Maintains the required continuing education credits for Registration and License. (Required)

Nice To Haves

3+ years Working as a clinical dietitian in a health care facility (may include Supervised Practice Program) (Preferred)
