About The Position

Sodexo is seeking a Clinical Dietitian for UH Elyria Medical Center in Elyria, OH. UH Elyria specializes in emergency medicine, heart and vascular, cancer, and bariatric surgery. This position will cover inpatient services. New and experienced dietitians are encouraged to apply! This position is Monday through Friday, no weekends, and rotating holidays! This position may be eligible for a sign-on bonus.

Requirements

• Registered Dietitian credentials (or eligible) and be licensed in OH
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Good time management skills
• Be a self-starter and a team player
• Ability to work well with physicians, nursing and ancillary staff
• Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
• For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24: Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
• Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire.
• Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide nutritional care for a variety of inpatient units
• Participate in community events
• Perform quality improvement initiatives such as patient satisfaction rounds and monthly test trays
• Precept dietetic interns
• Educate healthcare team members, including physicians and nurses
