In collaboration with patients, families (as defined by the patient) and staff across all disciplines and departments, this role is responsible for planning, coordinating and evaluating nutrition and dietary services and programs. The Clinical Dietitian will evaluate the dietary needs of patients, develop and implement a dietary plan, and document nutritional information in patient medical charts. They will educate patients on food selection to maintain and promote health, as well as prevent and treat illness and disease. This role involves developing and conducting specialized patient nutrition classes and individual patient instruction, and providing information and education to staff members. The position also includes implementing and monitoring quality control programs, evaluating program effectiveness, and potentially participating in or managing special projects/programs. A key aspect of this role is ensuring all tasks comply with regulatory and accreditation standards, fostering positive internal relationships, and interacting respectfully with patients and their families. The Clinical Dietitian must maintain a professional demeanor, uphold organizational policies and values, and complete all mandatory training and maintain credentials.
