About The Position

The Clinical Dietitian performs a variety of clinical nutrition duties related to the care of patients, residents, and community individuals. The Clinical Dietitian provides medical nutrition therapy for disease prevention and management in both an in-patient and out-patient setting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition or related field plus successful completion of a supervised practice program for nutrition.
  • Eligible to sit for the registration examination for Dietitians, or eligibility for registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration with Successful completion of the Registration Examination for Dietitians within 6 months of hire date.
  • Obtains NYS certification as a dietitian-nutritionist (CDN) within 1 (one) year of hire or after passing the Registration Examination for dietitians.
  • CPR Certification.
