About The Position

Take the next step in your career with Morrison Healthcare as a CLINICAL DIETITIAN in Southaven, MS! This is an inpatient position at Morrison Healthcare at Baptist Memorial Hospital-DeSoto. The schedule is Monday-Friday with rotating weekends. The position details involve providing coverage in med/surg units with cross coverage in the ICU critical care Unit at Baptist Memorial Hospital–DeSoto, a 339-bed acute care facility. Requirements

  • Must be registered with the Commission on Dietetic Registration or eligible.
  • Mississippi State Licensure or Provisional Licensure is required.
  • Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) or CDR exam eligible
  • Licensed Dietitian (or willing to obtain) in the state of practice as applicable
  • Healthcare experience preferred—new graduates with strong clinical training are encouraged to apply

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive nutritional assessments and develop individualized care plans to promote recovery and improve health outcomes
  • Provide guidance on nutrition and lifestyle strategies to support sustainable, long-term wellness to patients, families, staff, and the community
  • Apply the latest research in alignment with the diet manual, company policies, and facility protocols to ensure high-quality, consistent care
  • Contribute to QAPI initiatives aimed at advancing patient care and clinical excellence
  • Partner with the food service management team to help achieve patient satisfaction and service goals
  • Support the growth of staff and dietetic interns through education and training as applicable
