About The Position

A well-established hospital located just outside of Tifton, Georgia is seeking a full-time, permanent Clinical Dietitian to join their team! This is a full-time, direct-hire opportunity with a Monday-Friday day shift schedule and a shared weekend call rotation. The role offers great nutrition leadership and administration support, excellent benefits, and competitive pay. The Clinical Dietitian will provide nutritional education to ESRD patients, tactfully communicating and educating patients and visitors in a positive, informative manner. They will communicate appropriately with patients of various ages, conduct in-service training in diet therapy and patient care as needed, and complete nutritional assessments on all required patients, placing them in the medical record in a timely manner. The role requires the ability to assess and interpret data relative to the patient’s age and adapt techniques/treatments accordingly. The dietitian will assess the nutritional status of chronic dialysis patients throughout all stages of the life cycle and screen patients for nutritional problems, as appropriate for their age and disease process.

Requirements

  • B.S. Degree in Dietetics or Food and Nutrition from an accredited university if graduated before 2024. If graduated after 2024, Master’s Degree required from an accredited university
  • Current Licensure in Georgia as a Dietitian/Nutritionist.
  • Current knowledge of nutrition therapy.

Nice To Haves

  • A minimum of one to two years’ experience in clinical/oncology dietetics in a health care facility.
  • Working knowledge of CBORD and overall diet office functions

Responsibilities

  • Provides nutritional education to ESRD patients.
