About The Position

Prime Healthcare is seeking a Clinical Dietitian to join our team at Dallas Regional Medical Center. This full-time position involves providing comprehensive nutritional care to patients, developing individualized meal plans, and collaborating with a healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. The role requires a strong understanding of medical nutrition therapy and excellent patient education skills.

Requirements

Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) license.
Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a clinical setting providing patient nutritional care.
Strong understanding of medical nutrition therapy (MNT).
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
Ability to educate and motivate patients and families on healthy eating habits.
Proficient in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.

Responsibilities

Perform nutritional assessments to evaluate patients' dietary needs based on medical conditions, lab results, and health history.
Develop individualized nutrition plans to support recovery, manage chronic diseases, or address specific conditions like diabetes, heart disease, or malnutrition.
Track patients’ progress, adjust meal plans as needed, and ensure nutritional goals are met.
Work closely with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to integrate nutrition into patient care plans.
Educate patients and their families about proper nutrition, special diets, or post-discharge meal planning.
Ensure meals prepared by the dietary staff align with prescribed diets and safety standards.
