About The Position
Sodexo is seeking an inpatient Registered Dietitian for New York-Presbyterian Westchester Hospital, a 256-bed community hospital located in Bronxville, NY. This role involves providing exceptional nutrition care to patients across inpatient units, utilizing the Nutrition Care Process, Nutrition Focused Physical Exam, and Malnutrition Identification. The dietitian will also work every fourth weekend and rotating holidays, educating healthcare team members. This position is open to new or experienced candidates.
Requirements
- Registered Dietitian (may apply while RDE, but must have RD to start).
- Excellent communication, leadership and customer service skills.
- Ability to work well with physicians, nursing and ancillary staff.
- Strong commitment to excellence in all aspects of patient care.
- Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire.
- Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice.
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional nutrition care to patients across inpatient units.
- Be well versed in the Nutrition Care Process, Nutrition Focused Physical Exam and Malnutrition Identification.
- Work every fourth weekend and rotating holidays providing hospital-wide coverage.
- Educate healthcare team members, including physicians and nurses.
