About The Position

Sodexo is hiring a Registered Dietitian for a full-time inpatient role at McLaren Flint Hospital, a 378-bed tertiary teaching hospital and level III trauma center located in Flint, Michigan. McLaren Flint is affiliated with Michigan State University, offering comprehensive, advanced care to the greater Genesee County region. This position is open to new or experienced candidates! The role involves providing exceptional nutrition care to patients in the inpatient setting, being well-versed in the Nutrition Focused Physical Exam and Malnutrition Identification, working rotating weekends and holidays providing hospital-wide coverage, being knowledgeable of the Nutrition Care Process, and efficiently and effectively organizing clinical nutrition and patient care responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Registered Dietitian credential
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills to interact with a wide variety of individuals and groups
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong time management skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with physicians, nursing and ancillary staff
  • Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) (for those eligible for the registration exam after 1/1/24)
  • Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) (for those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24)
  • Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire
  • Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice
  • 3 years experienced practitioner able to work with minimal supervision
