Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics, or Food and Nutrition.
- Registered Dietitian (RD) credentialed by Commission on Dietetic Registration, or Registration eligible within 6 months of hire.
- State License (LDN) by Louisiana Board of Examiners in Dietetics and Nutrition, or provisional LDN.
- Must be able to work anytime weekdays, weekends, and holidays between the hours of 8:00 am and 4:30 pm.
- Must be able to think logically and make decisions based on experience and training.
- Excellent time management, communication, and organization skills.
- Computer technology skills and excellent interpersonal skills.
Nice To Haves
- One year experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) for admitted patients.
- Screening and assessing patients.
- Developing nutrition care plans.
- Patient visitations.
- Providing nutrition education.
- Conducting department in-services.
- Participating in community programs and health fairs.
- Assisting in other areas related to the Food and Nutrition department.
- Assisting with service recovery for patients and guests.
