About The Position

Hillcrest Convalescent Center, a top-rated skilled nursing facility, is seeking a full-time Registered Dietitian. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational and time management skills, coupled with a passion for patient care. In this role, you will evaluate and recommend diet changes and other adjustments to nutritional therapy, under physician approval and diet restrictions, to ensure optimal nutritional care. You will also contribute to the development of comprehensive care plans and collaborate with the Careplan Coordinator to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations by providing and updating nutritional information as needed. Requirements

Baccalaureate degree in dietetics or related field.
Registered Dietitian.
Maintain a current license as required by law.
At least two years of clinical experience in a hospital or skilled nursing facility.

Responsibilities

Evaluate and assess each new resident for nutritional status, current nutritional therapies, diet history, and food preferences.
Communicate all information related to food preferences and other food service issues promptly to DFS or appropriate dietary personnel.
Evaluate and recommend diet changes and other adjustments to nutritional therapy as needed to ensure the best nutritional care possible under physician approval and diet restrictions.
Participate in discharge planning.
Conduct all nutritional/dietary education to residents and their families as needed.
Involve families in nutritional plans and goals for residents as appropriate, respecting resident confidentiality.
