Missouri Baptist Medical Center has a Clinical Dietitian opening in the Inpatient setting. A great way to gain experience with a diverse patient population and levels of care. Missouri Baptist Medical Center, an acute care hospital in St. Louis County, offers a full continuum of medical and surgical services, including heart care, cancer, women and infants, breast health, gastrointestinal, orthopedic, stroke, therapy, wound and pain management services. The hospital has a 24-hour adult emergency department and cares for pediatric patients at a separate emergency department in collaboration with St. Louis Children’s Hospital. Responsibilities

  • Identifies nutrition related problems, determines nutrition diagnosis, prioritizes nutrition intervention and documents plan of care including writing diet orders and educating patient and families on nutrition plan of care.
  • Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to ensure patient/client understanding of the nutrition support therapy prescription.
  • Evaluates evidence that the nutrition intervention/plan of care is influencing a desirable change in the patient/client behavior or status.
  • Reviews best available research/evidence and information for application to practice.
  • Shares current, evidence-based knowledge, information with patients/clients, colleagues, and the public and tailors to the customers needs.
  • Identifies efficient workflow patterns to optimize time management and maximize patient/client care outcomes.
  • The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is an essential function of this job.
