Requirements
- Must have experience performing duties in food service in a hospital environment.
- Tray delivery and knowledge of tray assembly area procedures.
- Familiarity of regular and modified diets.
Responsibilities
- Assessing patients’ nutritional status and compiling dietary histories.
- Monitoring and documenting patients’ diets, weight, appetite, and vital signs related to nutrition.
- Assisting in the creation and implementation of individualized dietary plans tailored to medical conditions, allergies, and personal preferences.
- Educating patients and families on healthy eating habits and nutrition programs.
- Participating in menu planning, food preparation oversight, and ensuring food safety and sanitation standards.
- Supporting hospital or clinic initiatives, community outreach, and public health programs to promote wellness.
