About The Position

This position will provide support to our clinical team with analysis of clinical data obtained from patients wearing the ASSURE WCD. The intern will assist with data cleaning, exploratory analysis, and statistical analysis using tools such as R and/ or Python. At the conclusion of the internship, the intern will have gained hands-on experience working with real-world clinical data. This role is ideal for a student studying data science, statistics, or a related field who is interested in applying analytical skills to healthcare and medical research. This is a part-time summer internship position (less than 30 hours a week), working with the Clinical team at Kestra.

Requirements

3rd year or higher undergraduate in Data Science, Statistics or related field
Familiarity with data cleaning and exploratory data analysis
Basic understanding of statistics
Ability to work with structured datasets and communicate analytical findings clearly
Strong attention to detail and curiosity about data
Must be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within the past 6 months
Must not have completed one year of continual employment with Kestra Medical Technologies
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must possess unrestricted work authorization
Must complete a criminal and employment background screening that meets the allowable FDA requirements and is in accordance with EEOC rules and regulations
Must complete a pre-internship drug screen

Responsibilities

Clean and prepare clinical research datasets for analysis
Analyze medical history and Wearable Cardioverter Defibrillator performance data
Conduct statistical analysis using R and/or Python
Create visualizations to communicate findings
Present internship results and findings to the Clinical Marketing team and Kestra executive leadership at the conclusion of the internship.
