About The Position

Novellia is seeking a Clinical Data Manager to enhance its data curation and delivery processes. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional experts to develop and execute end-to-end data extraction, including assessing the feasibility of abstracting variables from unstructured EHR documents, creating data curation guidelines, establishing and overseeing QA/QC procedures, and potentially integrating payor data into Novellia’s EHR datasets. The company operates in a fast-paced environment that requires focus, urgency, and client accountability. Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in health sciences, biology, public health, a related applied science, or education as a nurse.
  • Experience with clinical data and a strong interest in becoming an expert in various therapeutic areas (rare disease, oncology, cardiovascular disease, etc.).
  • Familiarity with electronic health record systems, electronic data capture forms, or other data management systems.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey clinical issues to a diverse team including data engineers, data scientists, client solutions managers, and other stakeholders with varying levels of clinical knowledge.
  • Exceptional attention to detail coupled with a pragmatic approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, cross-functional, and international environment, with flexibility to adapt to ambiguity.
  • Strong interest in Large Language Models (LLMs) and experience applying them to data processing.

  • Comfort using SQL to investigate data.

Responsibilities

  • Develop data curation instructions for various disease areas, including rare disease, oncology, and cardiovascular disease.
  • Assist in the development and refinement of LLM-enabled curation methods.
  • Investigate the feasibility of capturing specific data elements from unstructured EHR documents.
  • Support data quality and control activities, such as correcting and investigating errors, and developing standard operating procedures for Novellia’s QA/QC processes.
  • Collaborate with a cross-functional team, including technical experts (software engineering, data science), client solutions, and research scientists, to ensure data curation meets customer needs and to provide analytic guidance for working with Novellia’s real-world data.
  • Provide expertise to support the processing and harmonization of structured data points.
  • Collaborate with clinical experts to ensure data curation and QA/QC align with clinical expectations.
  • Participate in customer-facing calls as needed to present Novellia’s data curation approaches.
